Infants

(6 weeks to 12 months)

  • Stimulations shall be provided through being held, rocked, played with, and talked to individually. The same adult will care for the same child as much as possible. We feel that bonding between caregiver and infant is an ideal situation.
  • Each infant will be diapered as frequently as needed. When being changed, the infant shall be cleansed using individual, disposable toilet articles. The parents will provide all diapers, wipes, and diapering supplies that will be clearly marked with the child’s name.
  • Daily activities that are found on the Brightwheel app. it will provide essential communication between parents and staff regarding the infant's care. Infants will be held during feeding.
  • At no time will the infant be left alone with a bottle, especially while lying in a crib. Spoon-feeding will be used when it becomes developmentally appropriate.
  • Parents will provide all baby food until the child can eat table food.
  • Parents will provide the Center with ready-to-use formula or breast milk in bottles.
  • All bottles will be kept refrigerated within the Infant Room until the child is fed.
  • All food supplies brought from home will be clearly marked with the child’s name.
  • Each child has a crib of their own with a space for their belongings. The Center provides bedding, sleep sacks, bibs and burp cloths.

Ones & Twos

Each day children will be exposed to developmentally appropriate activities in a variety of areas. In addition, field trips and special activities will be planned on occasions. Creative Curriculum is used in classrooms. Each cchild has a cot of their own and a cubby for their belongings.

Preschoolers

(3-5 year olds)

During the time frame when 3 & 4 year preschool is not in operation, the classroom will be used for childcare. If you have enrolled your child in the 3 & 4 year preschool program, a separate handbook for this program will be provided to you.

The preschool room will provide a learning environment filled with a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, music, dance, fingerplays, games, puzzles, blocks, manipulatives, large group and small group time, dramatic play, free play, gross motor and fine motor skills, outdoor play and stories. Activities in the classroom are a combination of staff and child-initiated activities.

School Age

(5-12 year olds)

Children aged three through twelve may participate in our Before and After School and Summer Programs. We provide care to school age children during late starts, early dismissals, school in-services, school cancellations and on other scheduled non school days. We do not provide care to school age children when they are ill.

All schedules are subject to change depending on children’s dispositions, sleep patterns, and weather conditions.
